My name is Sarah and I am a yoga teacher based in Dublin. I teach and practice yoga because I believe that it is our greatest tool of self-discovery.
I used to work as a corporate lawyer. I spent years studying law and seven years working in Dublin law firms before leaving my job last year. It was not an easy decision. One that took years and a lot of soul searching to make.
Yoga was the driver for my journey. Yoga spurred me to go on a self-discovery mission; to countries across Asia, Buddhist monasteries, Indian ashrams and to sit in silent meditation. Yoga sparked passion within me. Travelling in the East opened my mind and gave me time to get to know myself. At age 33, I took the leap of faith and left my steady job not knowing what I wanted to do. I turned to yoga again and it gave me the greatest opportunity: to do something in life that I truly love and believe in.
My logo is an adaption of the Camino shell. Camino means ‘the way’; a Spanish trail to Santiago that I walked for a month before I began to teach yoga. The shell represents the journey that we each take in life to find out who we really are. The Bhagavad Gita describes yoga as “a journey of the self, through the self, to the self”.
I am still on the journey and learning at every step. I want to share what I have learnt so far that might be of help to others on their journey. You can get in touch with me, follow my writings and join my classes and events through this website. Thanks for stopping by.
